Although I work with and have experience supporting all genders, I hold postgraduate qualifications alongside specialist training in male-centred therapy, male psychology, masculinity, male mental health, and suicide prevention. Along with my own lived experience, this training has allowed me to understand the barriers males face in the mental health system.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, meaning I incorporate multiple therapeutic modalities to align with each individual's unique sense of self. While my foundation is person-centred therapy, I also integrate psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy. This flexibility ensures that therapy is tailored to diverse life experiences, genders, cultures, sexualities, and perspectives, as no single approach can universally fit everyone's needs.
I will compassionately collaborate with you to explore and uncover subconscious actions, thoughts, and behaviours. My expertise includes working with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, abuse, stress, sexuality, grief, relationships, and attachment issues. Additionally, I have advanced training in gender, sexual relationships, and diversity (GSRD).
Through my training and experience, I have learned that every individual is unique. Each person has distinct childhood experiences and has been shaped by societal expectations and messages, which can sometimes hinder personal growth.
Counselling is my passion, and with the flexibility of online services, I am pleased to offer support both nationwide and internationally.
